PA 6 has
the lowest processing temperature of the polyamide family. It is
used in a broad range of applications while fillers contribute significantly
to critical properties for the less demanding applications. Matching
processability, thermal stability of the flame retardant package
at these lower processing temperatures have permitted some limited
use of DE-83R with alternative synergists to antimony trioxide.
However the higher thermal stability of the BP411 would make it
a more attractive candidate.
