Polyurethane foam includes two classes of foam, rigid and flexible
foam. Rigid foams are predominately closed cell
and used for insulation purposes in building and construction panels,
cold stores, tank and pipe insulation and refrigerators.
Flame retardants
are often required in rigid foams in order to comply with the appropriate
fire performance standards. Great Lakes offers both halogen and
non-halogen flame retardants.
