Firemaster® 550

Firemaster® 550 is a phosphorus-bromine flame retardant for flexible polyether and polyester polyurethane foams. It offers all the advantages of the long estabished Great Lakes DE-60F Special, but is not based on brominated diphenyl ether chemistry. It is also particularly effective in HR foams where it gives excellent color, low scorch and reduced center softening. Firemaster 550 also gives foams with improved flame lamination properties combined with the good color stabilty. UL 94 HF1 packaging foams can also be readily formulated with Firemaster 550. Firemaster 550 is available in the Americas and Asia Pacific regions only.

Features:

• Low viscosity liquid…excellent compatibility with polyols, mixes easily at the foam head, effective in CO 2 blown systems
• Maintains good foam properties…no scorching, fine even cell structure/dispersion
