Great Lakes offers the industry's broadest range
of brominated flame retardants. Effective flame retardancy in urethane
furniture and automotive foam can be found with the new Firemaster®
550, replacing pentabromodiphenyl oxide formulations. Utilitarian
and containing the highest bromine content, Great Lakes DE-83R™
can be used in virtually any polymer system. Its functional
alternative is Firemaster®
2100 for non-decabrom formulations. Great Lakes CD-75P™
is an industry standard (HBCD) for expanded and extruded polystyrene
foam and specialty products such as brominated carbonate oligomers
and polybromostyrene grades for engineering polymers. Reactive flame
retardants include the high volume Great Lakes BA-59P™ (TBBA),
which is used mainly in epoxy technology as an intermediate.
Our
portfolio includes dibromostyrene, tetrabromophthalic anhydride,
hexabromocyclododecane, tetrabromobisphenol A, brominted diphenyl
oxide and tribromophenol products.
